Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, has indicated that the full implementation of the bilateral agreement between Albania and Italy in the area of social contributions has entered into force today. Through a post on the social Facebook network, Rama said this agreement would bring significant benefits to thousands of citizens who have worked in both countries.
“From today, full implementation of the bilateral agreement between Albania and Italy in the field of social contributions began, bringing great relief to thousands of Albanian citizens, as well as to thousands of Italians who have worked in the two countries who are fully recognised each year as retirement abroad,” wrote Rama, accompanying the post with symbols of gratitude and love for citizens, Periscope broadcasts.
He also expressed appreciation and respect for all those who contributed with their work away from the country of origin:
The agreement on mutual recognition of years of work between Albania and Italy is considered an important step for the social protection of Albanian and Italian immigrants, enabling them to benefit pensions on the basis of contributions made in the two states.
