QKUK security workers go on strike Friday, seek solutions to cut contracts

The chairman of the Kosovo Private Sector Technical Union Federation, Yusuf Azemi, has announced that security workers at QKUK will go on strike from Friday to 10:00 after failing to resolve the contract cuts issue for about 300 security workers. This became known after [...]
This became known after the meeting Azemi had with QKUK director Osman Hajdari on Thursday, says Online Economy, broadcasting Periscope.
“We have placed all options and given the aspect of priority dialogue. It is seen that from the first day this problem can be solved within two hours, the maximum in three days. We're back in zero stage today because everybody enjoys shooting ball at the other side. We have nothing left, and we have given warning of strike that is officially. But even if we were told that the day after tomorrow we'd be back at work, we wouldn't back down, and the strike starts tomorrow at 10:00x1>, Azemi said.
He stressed that procrastinating the process is due to abuses from various parties and lack of will for solutions.
Because of the abuses that have been done by the parties we don't know, the economic commissions have entered and are dealing with this process today and they will certainly come to a conclusion. Even of them today, we have asked: Are you willing to explain when this process can be completed? I've said that if it's the will and will this process can be completed in three days. They have demanded that we at least until Tuesday withdraw from the strike, but the workers' demand is to go on strike by tomorrow. We will be on strike and certainly the opinion will see how far we've gone,” he said.
According to Azem, responsibility is being carried irresponsiblely from one institution to another, while workers remain without contracts.
We've been talking to the KRPP, where they say it's not our ball, with O The news says it's not our ball, it's said to be at KKUK's principal, that's saying now it's not my problem, and it's being carried to SHKUKUK. SHSKUK, if good will is done, does not follow the conviction of which company to vote, can solve the problem of starting work Monday,” he said.
Other workers' representatives expressed support for the strike, stressing that they will not stop until they get a clear solution.
QKUK Security Association Chairman Hakif Syla said workers are determined not to stop until a concrete and guaranteed solution.
“Even we are of reconciliation to keep up with all the workers, to keep the strike until a positive document is returned for workers to start work”, he said.
While Xhemajl Bajrami, one of the security workers at QKUK, said 300 public officials have been affected from this situation.
The “we have privatisation here receive salaries of nearly 300. Workers are approximately 280 to 300, that here are carriers who, on behalf of the security workers working, are emergency carriers”, he said.
Security workers at the CKUK have also held protests, seeking assurances from the USKKUK Directorate for better working conditions and restoring their management under the CKUK./Periscope/
