Former prosecutor Elez Blakaj says people who were UDB-shasha are on the veterans' list.

Former Kosovo special prosecutor Elez Blakaj, who had investigated the scandal of lists of KLA false veterans and was then forced to leave the country due to serious threats, has again reacted strongly in a recently published post. In his response, Blakaj has raised concerns about the impact of UDB's old structures on Kosovo institutions, warning that this poses a serious risk to the state's foundations, follows Periscope.
“has become the norm spoken for UDBs and their associates in institutions, but with no real will to leave. Some of them have enough information, but there is little political will to address”, writes Blakaj.
He has called for approval of the Law on Lustracion to clear institutions of those who have co-operated with Yugoslav security structures and, according to him, still enjoy key positions.
Blakaj has stressed that the security certificate should be a condition for any state-run post, including judges and prosecutors, since only education or experience are not enough under current conditions.
Much of its reaction is dedicated to the process of recognising KLA veterans, for whom Blakaj was the main official who investigated him years ago. He has stated that in this process there are persons who have been certified as UDBs, some of them have publicly accepted it, while today they figure on veterans' lists.
This is a huge damage to KLA dignity. There are names that have tortured warriors.
