At the initial session Tuesday at the Constitutional Court in Pristina, suspended professor Dzevat Krasniqi has been declared innocent over the charge of sexual harassment.
“Absolutely innocent”, Krasniqi declared.
The guilty statement was made after prosecutor Blerim Igrista read the indictment, reports “Battle for Justice”, broadcast Periscope.
After that, case judge Bujar Ahmeti interrupted the session and announced the accused on deadlines for contesting evidence.
According to the act of Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina, established on April 10th 2025, Xhevat Krasniqi was charged with having a professor of mathematics at the Faculty of Medicine, over the period from January 2022 to December 2023 at the faculty facility at Pristina University, involved in the unwanted verbal behavior of sexual nature, with the goal of violating the dignity of the other person. Four students are charged with being sexually molested by words.
For this, Krasniqi is charged with continuing to commit criminal work “by sexual harassment” by Article 183, paragraph3 concerning paragraph 1 and Article 77 of the Criminal Code.
Pristina University “has announced that after the recommendation by the University Ethics Council, a decision has been made to be suspended by Professor Xhevat Krasniqi, denounced for sexual harassment. /Periscope
