The fact that bills have not yet arrived clearly shows that there has not been even minimal preparation for the implementation of this decision. This situation testifies to a lack of transparency, planning and consultation with affected parties.
This decision, at a time when local businesses are facing:
• Major growth in imports,
• export drop,
• and serious difficulties in preserving EU markets are turning into an unaffordable burden for our producers.
The immediate increase in energy costs, without any warning or discussion with the private sector, risks not only competitiveness, but the very survival of many local companies.
This is a clear call for institutions ʹ the production sector cannot and should not face the consequences of unilateral decisions alone!
We request from the ZERE immediate suspension of the decision and the start of a responsible, open and planned process for a fair and sustainable transition in the field of energy.
The production sector should be treated as a strategic partner, not a victim of hasty policies.
