The Sanitary Inspectorate of the Health Ministry has announced the provisional closure of Pristina's Germ pool, following a report by the National Institute of Public Health ( IKPK, who finds that the water in this pool did not meet the safety and hygiene standards.
As RTK reports, the decision has been made to protect public health and prevent any potential risks for citizens who frequent this recreative space.
The IKPK announced this morning that, based on the laboratory tests of the Germi pool, taken on July 19th, microbiological parameters failed to meet standards.
Meanwhile, the IKKPK says samples have been taken on July 23rd, while stressing that the results are expected to appear during Friday (July 25th).
The “EExperts of Human Ecology by IKShPK received samples for laboratory analysis from the water of this pool on Friday, July 19, 2025. The results of these samples released on July 22, 2025, showed that microbiological parameters did not meet the standards for pool water. The Sanitary Inspector of the Health Ministry visited this pool on the same day”.
“on July 23rd 2025, repeated samples have been taken and final results are expected to be ready on Friday, July 25, 2025”, said IKPK.
The institute said that as soon as the new results are available, citizens will be notified through official IKKPK communication channels.
The IKPK said these tests were conducted under its mandate to protect public health, and based on the contract it has with the public company “Sports Marketing” The US, which manages Pristina's Germ pool. /Periscopi/
