According to the latest data published by the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK), the harmonised Consumer Awards Index (IHÇK) in June this year increased by 4.3 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Compared to May 2025, this index has increased by 0.7 per cent, which indicates an acceleration of inflation month-on-month. In May, inflation was 3.6 percent, in April 3.0 percent, and in January it was only 1.5 percent. The highest price hikes are recorded in basic products and services directly affecting citizens.
Coffee and tea increased by 18.2 percent, electricity at 17.8 percent, fruit at 14.8 percent, and organised holidays by 13.3 percent. Meat increased by 12.8 percent, personal vehicle services by 10.4 percent, oils and fats by 9.7 percent, hotel services at 7.7 percent, vegetables at 7.2 percent, and ambulance services at 7.1 percent./Periscopi/
