The pope also said that “is urgently in need of providing assistance to the vulnerable as a result of the conflict and allowing humanitarian aid”.
This conversation took place after last weekend, the Pope spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a day after an Israeli air strike struck the only Catholic Church in Gaza, killing three people.
On Sunday, Leon sentenced “barrine” of the Gaza war and reiterated the call for peaceful solutions.
The Vatican, which supports solution by two states, has officially recognised the state of Palestine through an agreement signed in 2015, becoming one of the first states in Europe to recognise this country.. /Periscopi/
