Ferizaj's regional police said several cases of fires were reported during the week, including in the municipality of Ferizaj, Shtime and Hani Elezi. However, police said there are currently no active fire hearths in the Ferizaj region.
The Ferizaj Regional Police have taken all necessary measures and has engaged sufficient personnel to manage and handle fire cases across the territory of the Ferizaj region. For this reason, police are closely co-operating with local institutions and agencies responsible for preventing and localising any potential risks from fires. However, police appeal to citizens to show increased care, especially during days of high temperatures and dry winds, avoiding burning waste, field or forest areas in any circumstance. The effects of fires can be severe, irreversible, and life - threatening, environment, and property”.
Police warned that it will be uncompetitive to anyone causing fires, either intentionally or carelessly.
The police will act uncompetitively on any person who, deliberately or carelessly, causes fire. All persons who carry out intentional arson or because of negligence will face legal measures and criminal procedures under the legislation at”.
Police have called on citizens to report immediately in case they have information on people who cause fire.
We have citizens working with the police and if they have information on people who cause firepower, immediately report the police to the nearest station, or through digital app “Call 911.
