Periscop's editorial has accepted a reaction from Mrs. Lisa Gashi about the article published on July 4, 2025, “The millions scandal: The organisation, run by Deputy Prime Minister Lisa Gashi, was outlawed by Kurti's acting Minister, Framim Damka”
After reviewing its response and public data, we want to clarify that Lisa Gashi was not part of the G organisation. ERMIN since 2020, however, long before the agreement with Caritası was struck or the benefit that is subject to investigation and indictment against former Minister Damka.
We explain that Gashi is not a party or subject to any judicial process in this case, and has not been a signatory of any agreement with Caritası on behalf of any state institution.
The mention of her name and the use of photography in the article have been based on her past as founder and former executive director of GERMIN.
However, we stress that it has not exercised any function in the organisation at the time of the benefit that is subject to the indictment.
As a result, the editorial has updated the article with a detailed note to avoid any misunderstanding on the direct involvement of Mrs. Gashi in this case.
