After the powerful earthquake in Kamchatka, about one million people in Japan were forced to evacuate because of the serious threat from tsunami that could be followed by seismic swings.
Japanese authorities responded quickly by taking precautions to protect the lives and property of citizens by organizing massive evacuations along the Pacific Coast.
According to reports Associated Press, evacuations were carried out in more than 220 municipalities and towns along Japan's coastal areas, where the risk of floods and heavy waves was higher.
This became possible thanks to close co-ordination between the Japanese Fire Management Agency and Disasters and local authorities, who informed residents in real time and secured their evacuation to safer areas.
In addition to Japan, warnings of tsunami dangers have been issued throughout the Pacific, including Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, and the Solomon Islands.
These warnings, reported by the CNBS media, are part of an international monitoring system aimed at preventing life loss and damage in areas affected by major sea waves.
Experts continue to follow the situation closely, while residents of endangered areas are advised to be vigilant and follow the authorities' instructions to minimize possible consequences.
