Minister of Economy, Culture and innovation, Blendi Gonge, held a meeting today with Valeria Vittimberga, director general of the National Social Insurance Institute in Italy and representatives of the Italian Embassy in Albania, to follow closely the first steps of implementing this historic agreement aimed at guaranteeing the rights of Albanian and Italian workers who have contributed to the two countries, is conveyed. The deal paves the way for mutual recognition of security periods and enables benefits of pensions under each state's national legislation.
“So far, the first requirements are primarily for the unification of retirement periods in Italy, as well as from individuals who do not meet the minimum of 15 years of security in Albania.
