President Trump has said it has prevented a tension, prevented a transition, what Serbia was trying to do on the border with Kosovo. But it was his personal commitment and role that prevented him from being a real leader in preserving peace”, Osmani said.
Because peace, as we all know from the war in Ukraine, should never be taken for granted. It is something to be constantly protected, constantly to be cultivated. And the role of the United States in this effort is essential. It is necessary and irreplaceable”, Osmani added.
The president is staying for a visit to the States. So far there have been meetings at State Department and in popular American tank think tanks that deal with the Balkans as well. Trump's statements have not been commented on by the government. Outgoing Interior Minister Jelal Svecla has said that the president should be asked for possible exiting.
