The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Mr. Lumir Abdixhiku, hosted Germany's ambassador to Kosovo to Central Headquarters today. Jörn Rohde.
During the meeting, the latest political developments in the country, with particular focus on the situation created by the institutional stalemate, was discussed. Mayor Abdixhiku stressed the necessity for forming functional institutions that serve citizens and re-focused the need for a quick political solution to form institutions.
Mayor Abdixhiku stressed the importance of respecting the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. In this context he spoke of the irresponsability of the first party and the lack of political will, in holding up the functioning of the country's institutions. This behavior not only undermines civic trust but also violates fundamental principles of democracy and respect for constitutional order.
Mayor Abdixhiku expressed gratitude for the continued support Germany has given and continues to give for Kosovo, in all phases of its development and democratic consolidation.
