MPs today try last time to make the constitution

Today is the last day Kosovo deputies can fulfill their constitutional obligation to constitutionalise the Assembly. If that happens in their 53rd attempt, Kosovo is entering unknown territory”. MPs today will gather in less than 48 hours last time within the 30-day deadline that [...]
MPs today will gather in less than 48 hours at the last time within the 30-day term the Constitutional Court gave them to constitute the Parliament with an act it issued in the centre. For 29 days, the MPs fulfilled this obligation, while for today there is strong signal that the session will produce something. If the constitution is introduced today, MPs have the right to gather for two weeks, according to a temporary measure the Constitution issued before bringing about a final act of prejudice to clearly provide an unprecedented situation that was created in the Kosovo Assembly.
Ambassadors of Western countries went to the Assembly Hall yesterday with optimism that Kosovo deputies would reflect on yesterday's session, which was thought to be the last.
But the same scenario by the head of the session, Avni Dehari, occurred yesterday with the Commission's vote for the secret vote, which drew support in dozens of hearings. The only difference was the assignment of continuing the constitutional session for today in less than 48 hours to try for the last time the institution of the ninth legislature, which emerged from the February 9th elections.
Western diplomats came out disappointed by the hearing and warned Kosovo politicians that they are entering an unknown territory.
EU Ambassador to Kosovo Aivo Orav said after the end of the session Friday that Kosovo needs a new government that accelerates its path towards the EU.
We came with great hope here and unfortunately nothing happened again. Kosovo needs a Parliament immediately, needs a new government that would build a new and strong bridge between Kosovo and Brussels to speed up the journey towards the EU”, Orav has declared after the session.
The most severe and desperate for yesterday's session failure was German Ambassador to Kosovo Jorn Rohde.
He has said this political class is disappointing the people of Kosovo and that the provisional measure appointed by the Constitutional Court was a red card for him.
The political script is disappointing its people and very disturbing. The court's yesterday ruling was, if we speak with football language, we can say as a red card because it is suspending Parliament to make decisions”, he said before reporters in the Assembly.
In the hall with his colleagues was British Ambassador to Kosovo Jonathan Hargrees, who later on Facebook, urged Kosovo politicians to join and find a solution to end the blockade before the implementation of the Constitutional Court's provisional move begins.
Otherwise, Kosovo is entering unknown territory and its citizens continue to lose meaningful political representation and the ability to make important domestic and international decisions affecting citizens' lives”.
To use the few remaining hours, French Ambassador Olivier Guerot also called.
“S, along with other ambassadors, attended today's session of Parliament. The current stalemate is damaging Kosovo. I encourage all politicians to take full advantage of the few hours left before the Constitutional Court's deadline ends tomorrow”.
Presented in the Assembly Hall yesterday was also loaded with work at the US Embassy, Anu Prattipati, but she made statements to the media.
Hopes for a possible unblockment in the Assembly are dependent only on a potential agreement between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Initiative. Although, the positions of these two parties are very opposed.
The initiative, represented by three deputies in the Assembly, has called for the post of chief parliament for the leader of this party, Fatmir Limaj, while the Vetevendosje Movement says such a high-ranking post can meet a party with so few MPs.
Vetevendosje is insisting that the Initiative make its partner in the government coalition, but this offer is getting support from the Initiative.
Limaj, in his statements to the media yesterday, gave me strong optimism that today's session will bring any positive developments.
He said his party does not go towards preferential solutions and does not contribute to the country going to the polls.
When the Initiative is sure to form a government majority, it will make its contribution not to the country's early elections”.
There are no private solutions. It's become the subject of choosing the Speaker of the Parliament, for me it's never been the choice of the Speaker of the Parliament, the root of this crisis is not having the necessary numbers for Government, and until there are sufficient numbers for government, things have remained where they are today”, he said yesterday.
Meanwhile, Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti, both at every session and yesterday, chose to remain silent and not answer journalists' questions about his constitutional responsibility to create a majority as the first winning party and the country gives the institutions.
Meanwhile, leaders of other parties called on the Constitution not to violate and turn into a day of open voting.
