MPs react after the failure of the 49th Assembly session, accuse VV of political obstruction

Following the failure of the 49th Kosovo Assembly Constituent session, which again did not bring about the election of the Speaker of the Parliament, opposition MPs have reacted sharply, accusing Vetevendosje Movement of deliberately blocking institutions and lack of will for solutions. PDK MP Blerta Deliu said the country is heading towards the expiration of the constitutional deadline without any concrete moves by the majority.
The Parliament's political commitment has been made by a political party, by the Vetevendosje Movement and its partners. The solution is in their hands,” said Deliu, adding that there is still no political will to exit the crisis.
Even AAK deputy Lahi Brahimaj confirmed that his party will not vote Fatmir Limaj as head of Parliament, considering it unacceptable that, according to him, the Initiative and the VV have secret agreements that have not been made public, the news writes.net.
Mr. Limaj doesn't have my vote. Back-to-back agreements with the Serbian List and others are unacceptable,” he said.
On the other hand, the MP The PDK, Artan Behram, accused Vetevendosje Movement of misuse of the right to propose the chief parliament.
These parties that we've stayed in the hall are the generation of resistance and statehood. Those who came out misuse the right to the unconstitutional agenda,” declared Behram.
Meanwhile, Social Democrat Initiative MP Xhevahire Izmaku said she will have a meeting between her leader, Fatmir Limaj, and Albin Kurti, saying the initiative has offered unconditional co-operation and is ready to resolve the political stalemate.
“This is the political reality, Initiative and leader Fatmir Limaj has understood from the beginning and has extended the hand of co-operation,” said.
Reaction also came from the chairman The PDK, Memli Krasniqi, who said the solution lies in the hands of the first party and that it should propose a candidate who has not been a minister before.
The “belongs to the first party to propose one of its deputies who was minister. Perhaps that's how the solution is made,” Krasniqi said.
In general, reactions following the recent failure of the Parliament's institution reflect deepening political crisis and the lack of a minimum consensus among parties, leaving the way uncertain towards the formation of new institutions. /Periscope/
