Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Blerta Deliu-Codra criticised the government's lack of support for the process.
Support has had to be much more powerful, especially in terms of recent developments, which we have seen and halt the means for this institution from Government, of course, has been a major obstacle to an extremely sensitive process there. I hope that the court today will welcome the defense side's proposal. It is a serious test for the court and if there is justice I believe the court will accept the defence side's proposal to testify once again to its objective in an extremely sensitive process for Kosovo”, Deliu-Kodra said in an interview for Kosovo. She estimates that the government's support for the process in The Hague has been minimal.
“> Several times we have discussed the need for government support for this ongoing process in The Hague. It is a process that relates to the Republic of Kosovo. Whatever decision will be made there will not be the decision that will be for a single name, but belongs to Kosovo's past and future, as well as its citizens. Support for the process has been minimal, and of course the funds, which have been cut off for that process, have been known. We have already heard public statements and positions on these funds, which have been banned by Government”, she added.
Deliu voiced optimism that the Court will make a fair decision, which will reflect objectivity and bring justice to Kosovo's deliverers.
The “is a serious process, a process that relates to Kosovo's future. Of course, there must be justice, and we firmly believe. I am optimistic and believe that it will be victorious for rescuers held at The Hague”, Kodra-Deliu said.
The court hearings in The Hague will begin at 9:00 today and are considered a key moment after the end of the prosecution's trial phase. /Periscope/
