The War Veterans' Association, the Association of War Invaleds, the Association of Witness Families, the Association of Political Prisoners and Society “Movement” have reacted after the news that the decision will be made on 17 July for the motion handed down by former KLA leaders at the Specialised Chambers in The Hague. In response it is said that this moment [...]
The response is said to be a test of justice and truth, calling on the court not to overlook the truth in this decision.
“Our liberation war has been fair, clean, and built on foundations of national freedom and dignity. Any attempt to tarnish it is injustice to the people and to our history”.
We call upon the court in this important decision not to overlook the truth of our liberation war. This is a crucial moment that requires respect for the principles of justice with honesty”, said in response.
In addition, these organisations said that the Albanian people and the international community expect a decision that, according to them, respects the freedom sacrifice and not a decision that serves injustice.
We believe in the innocence of our warriors and will always stand beside them. July 16th will be the day it will be seen whether this court is politicised or still has a professional and impartial lawyer”, it says in response. /Periscope
