The case was originally reported to Prizren Regional Hospital Emergency Emergency, where the baby was sent for medical treatment. Due to the heavy situation, it has later been transferred to Kosovo University Clinical Centre (QKUK) in Pristina, broadcast Periscope.
However, on July 11th 2025, Kosovo police have confirmed that the baby has failed to survive and has passed away.
Prizren Police spokesman Sacir Bytyqi has stated that the State Prosecutor has reportedly ordered that the lifeless body be sent to the Law Medicine Institute for autopsys.
Investigations into this serious event are ongoing.
