In a proposal for the Blic newspaper, Kryeziu has said that if the situation continues without a solution and the Assembly fails to be constitutionalised on time, then limited emergency state could be declared only for Parliament. I said on television: if even after 30 days no Parliament is constitutionalised, since elections cannot be announced, then by a decree of legal power the emergency situation, limited to Parliament alone, and the official elections are announced for 40 days. The campaign lasts 10 days,” he said.
Currently, Kosovo is in a unclear political situation, as no agreement has yet been reached on the formation of new institutions. This stalemate is jeopardising to trigger a constitutional vacuum, which, in the absence of a political solution, may require institutional intervention by the president of the Republic.
