Kosovo Deputy Foreign and Diaspore Minister Kreshnik Ahmeti is holding a two-day working visit to Malaysia that starts Thursday, aimed at deepening bilateral ties and exploring new areas of co-operation.
In a statement Thursday, Malaysia's Foreign Ministry said the visit is the continuation of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani Sadriu's official visit to Malaysia in early May of this year.
Ahmeti is expected to meet with Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Mohamad Alam, who will also organise a lunch in his honour.

The two deputy ministers will also exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest, said further.
During the visit, Ahmeti is also expected to hold discussions with the Hallall Development Corporation (HDC) to explore possible co-operation in the informal sector, writes Malaysian media.
In 2024, the total bilateral trade between Malaysia and Kosovo reached 28.55 million, including 25.92 million in exports from Malaysia and 2.63 million in imports from Kosovo.
Key exports from Malaysia include palm oil, electricity and electronic products, and produced goods, while imports from Kosovo consist mainly of raw materials and semi-precious stones. /Periscopi/
