However, according to him, after the end of the war, Kosovo society and the political class have not done enough to protect and promote this glorious part of national history.
Macedonia has stressed that the country has been under constant international pressure to overshadow the liberation past, in the function of creating a new order in the Balkans.
He has also commented on the establishment of the Special Court, saying that by the time that decision was made, there was no more possible to prevent it.
“We haven't had the security either for the future of the country... our whole society, but I believe that even all those who were in politics for these 25 years have not done enough to preserve the KLA values, promote the fair and clean war of the KLA and to undermine the intentions of Serbia and its allies to denigrate KLA”, he declared.
The trial at The Hague is not a personal judgment but a cause. The KLA leaders were taken there, and being convicted or intended to be punished, the entire structure” is condemned, he said.
In the question of how much our country is now doing to protect these leaders who are there, Macedonia said:
It should be the opposite, I believe”, he said.
Macedonia estimated that the lack of a unified and stable stand to protect the history of the KLA war has left room for Serbia to continue efforts to criminalise that war, through international heritage and legal initiatives. /Periscopi/
