The Central Election Commission has indicated that periods have already started for voter registration outside Kosovo, for voting by mail in the Local Elections for Assembly Speakers and Communist Places. On 12 October, local elections will be held in Kosovo.
The Central Election Commission has indicated that periods have already started for voter registration outside Kosovo, for voting by mail in the Local Elections for Assembly Speakers and Communist Places.
During the 38-day period (July 23rd 2025), all Kosovo citizens living abroad can apply to register as voters outside Kosovo.
The recording application must be individual and can be made:
1) via CEC electronic platform https://diaspora.kqz-x.org or
2) via mail sending application to the CEC mailbox in Kosovo.
“As opposed to the Kosovo Assembly elections, local elections abroad are only realised via mail, as the General Election Law stipulates that the vote on diplomatic representation does not apply to this type of elections”. The CEC's announcement is said to broadcast Clankosova.tv.
The period of voting via mail will begin on 17 September and end on October 11th 2025.
This period will apply only to citizens who manage to register successfully as voters outside Kosovo during the July 23rd census period August 29th 2025./Periscopi/
