The Democratic League of Kosovo has reacted after the Supreme Court's decision, which has abolished the administrative directive signed by incumbent Finance Minister Hekuran Murati, with whom sales and fiscal cases were suspended for 60 days, writes Periscope.
The LDK in response says it welcomes the Supreme decision, which it describes as the right decision.
Kosovo can no longer allow institutions to be usurped and misused for the political interests of a party”, said in response.
Full response:
The Democratic League of Kosovo welcomes the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosovo, which clearly confirms the serious constitutional and legal violations on the part of MPs, who even after the submission as deputies from the Central Election Commission, have continued to exercise executive positions, in full opposition to the Constitution and the Law on Government.
The Supreme Court has clearly ascertained that the ministers certified as deputies, in any resolution, act in serious legal violations, have usurped and are exercising positions in the illegal and arbitrary manner after the mandate ends.
In the name of public interest and constitutional democratic order, the Democratic League of Kosovo has so far exercised 17 criminal charges against former ministers who have continued to make decisions as ministers in office, though certified as deputies, taking all legal actions to protect the constitutional order and institutional integrity of the Republic. In this direction, the LDK will deposit this ruling by the Supreme Court in the Prosecutor's Court tomorrow as evidence of our argument on these 17 criminal charges.
The LDK requires the State Prosecutor to address these serious constitutional and legal violations to priority and act without delay on the basis of criminal charges tabled by our deputies. The Supreme Court's decision has already confirmed that we are dealing with unconstitutional and illegal actions.
Kosovo can no longer allow its institutions to be usurped and misused for the political interests of a party. The rule of law cannot be the victim of political arrogance. Law enforcement is not optional, but non-negotiable obligation for any public official.
