Kosovo's incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has declared that meeting with President Vjosa Osmani has been open and focused on discussing the current political crisis that has been keeping the country in a stalled situation since April 19th.
“Meeting with Vjosa has gone well in the sense that we discussed all the topics and elements of the current situation, which is that of the non-compliance of the Republic of Kosovo since April 19th. It's a joint conclusion that we don't have more than three weeks. It's better than that. It won't work later. That's what the Constitutional Court Act says by the end of July should all be committed. The president has expressed her sorrow”, Kurti said.
He also spoke of meetings with political party leaders, saying only the Vetevendosje Movement has moved concretely towards the solution.
We're the only ones who've moved. The next day were Glauk Konjufca and Albulen Haxhiu at meetings. Mrs. Haxhiu has declared that he does not have to be voted twice because he is not a candidate. At Saturday's meeting I've invited us to deal with a package for the composition of the Assembly Headship. If you don't want the secret vote, send your representatives and we go back to open vote”, he said in Tv1.
Kurti stressed that there is some hope for resolving the situation, but not much, criticising the opposition's approach to the Constitutional Court's act of prejudice.
I have hope, but I can't say I have a lot of hope, because of the very different readings being done to the Constitutional Court. It's bad readings from them”, Kurti concluded./Periscopi/
