From Ksamili to Coman, naval police block 30 floating vehicles

With the aim of increasing maritime security parameters, the Marine Police Unit and Border Police from Ksamili to Coman has blocked 30 vessels. According to police, 12 of them are for breaching the security perimeter. Police also announced that 13 citizens (Albanians and foreigners) were rescued at sea through [the] intervention.

Current “operation DETURIE”, Border Police, in collaboration with the Marine Police Unit, is conducting intense monitoring and inspections in sea space from Ksamili to Velipoj, as well as in lake and river spaces, with the aim of identifying sea regulation offenders, security perimeter, or using vessels without proper documentation.
Over the course of this week, 431 floating tools have been checked, of which 30 have been blocked for naval security perimeter violations, activity activity activities outside approved areas and without proper documentation.
The blocked vehicles are 18 jet ski, 7 boat, 3 burmons and 2 metal boats with installed water engines.
12 vessels have been found sailing within the perimeter of safety, risking the lives of vacationers. Their leaders have been punished with an administrative measure of 100,000 leks each.
Meanwhile, from Ksamili to Velipja, Border Police have intervened in 7 cases to come to the aid of 13 citizens who were in danger because of severe waves or defects in their floating vessels.
Border police appeal for rigorous compliance with regulations for the use of vessels so that they do not breach the security perimeter, sail only in the permitted areas, and be equipped with rescue vehicles.
State police invite citizens and vacationers to denounce every case of the sea security perimeter or security measures, in the free number 112, guaranteeing immediate response and concrete measures against any violator.
