Krasniqi: We all have what to learn from Hashim Thaci

Tonight, President Hashim Thaci spoke to us from The Hague.

Not as ex-president. Not even like a man who spent about five years in a cell. But as a man who still serves hard to defend war and freedom sacrifice.

Sharp. Clear. Full of interest in his country and his future, as always. Reflector. Deep. But above all, in his obedience to the righteousness of the cause which we have pursued as a people.

He doesn't complain. He didn't ask for mercy. As he said, and as we know, Hashim Thaci would not change his life's path, even if he knew the price in advance. And he does not say that of himself, but of us, the generations that must go ahead without forgetting the sacrifice.

His father died while he was in The Hague. He wasn't there to close his eyes. But President Thaci's eyes are still open to Kosovo. And for justice, who, along with other deliverers, await him with patience and wisdom.

This interview, more than confession, was a call - to endure, to walk straight, and never to give up.
