The incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has met with two British deputies, Martin Vickers and Paul Foster, with whom he has discussed the importance of Kosovo's quick membership in NATO.
The meeting revealed the prime minister's office through a communique for the media.
The next theme of the discussion was regional co-operation under the Berlin Process, whose next summit will be held right in London, as well as the importance of Kosovo's faster membership in NATO, as a key step for long-term security and regional stability”, the communique said.
Other issues of discussion were bilateral relations, economic and trade co-operation, as well as the one in the field of defence.
Prime Minister Kurti's “on the part of Prime Minister Kurti was singled out as Kosovo's hospitality and participation in international exercise ʹDefender Europe 2025. He highlighted investments and increased the country's defence capacities by marking 123% increases in the number of soldiers over the past four years, along with investments in arms, as well as the strategic importance of co-operation in the military industry as a new and potentially Kosovo partnership”.
Kurti also cited strategic sectors of the economy, with particular focus on railway infrastructure projects and the technology sector, as areas with high potential for investment and co-operation.
The British “Deputes praised Kosovo's progress and expressed their commitment and the United Kingdom to continue supporting Kosovo on its path towards Euro-Atlantic integration and democratic development”.
Kurti expressed gratitude for the continued and all-party support of the United Kingdom to Kosovo.
