KFOR mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, is clear: “We contribute to a safe and free environment for all communities in Kosovo, ensuring freedom of movement at any time. ”
Also, KFOR works closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Law Rule Mission (EULEX), acting as co-ordinated security responders on the ground.
