The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has clarified that the capital project “Resilination and Modernisation of the A3 Unit at the Kosova A” plant has not been cancelled, but only temporarily suspended as a consequence of an complaint presented in the Procuratory Organisation (OSHP).
KEK stresses that suspension is a standard legal procedure that is automatically activated under the Public Procurement Law, whenever an economic operator files a complaint at the OSHP.
This is neither the first case nor the last of the temporary suspension for procedural reasons”, says the announcement.
According to KEK, on July 2nd 2025, Procuration Official has submitted the request for the suspension of O Saturday, based on Article 112 of the Law on Procurement.
The corporation stresses that the complaint is unfounded, and that is supported by the OSHP investigative expert's report, which has recommended its refusal as illegal.
KEK reiterates the commitment to transparent and fair development of this project of strategic importance to the country's energy security. The process has been backed by interior experts and consultations from the U.AID, with documentation drafted by international standards.
We prefer that all sides avoid disinformations and contribute to a debate based on fact, transparency and legitimacy”, KEK's announcement concludes.
