American citizen Sayafollah Musallet, 20, also known as Saif, was severely beaten in the incident in Silil, north of Ramallah.
Huseyin Al-Shalabi, 23, was shot in the chest.
Musale's family, from Tampa Florida, said in a statement that doctors tried to reach him, but he died before going to the hospital, writes BBC, broadcast Periscope.
This is a nightmare and unimaginable injustice that no family must ever face. We demand that the US State Department lead an immediate investigation and keep Israeli settlers killing Saifi responsible for their crimes”, the family statement said.
A US State Department spokesman said he was aware of the incident, but that the department had no further comments “for respect of family privacy and loved ones” of the reported victim.
Otherwise, the Israeli army said Israel is investigating the incident.
Column violence in the West Coast has reportedly increased since the beginning of Israel's war against Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza at the end of 2023, according to rights groups. /Periscope/
