Albanian MP in Serbia's Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, has said the cause of the political and institutional crisis there will not participate in the work of the next parliamentary session.

In a post on his Facebook account, he also listed the reasons why he will not be part of Serbia's Parliament works.

Albanian political representatives over the years have raised their voices to Parliament, speaking in the name of European rights, equality and future, seeking respect for basic human rights norms and appealing to the European Union for implementing the 2001, 2009 and 2013, unfortunately without success”, Kamberi said.

Below his full post:

Given that the community I represent remains loyal only to the pro-European orientation of the Western Balkans and strongly believes in the values of democracy, human rights and equality;
Given the fact that respect for human and minority rights is the foundation of every sound European society;
Taking into account the pro-European opposition's decision to boycott the work of Parliament in response to the deep political and institutional crisis in the country;
Witnessing every day of continued violations of basic human rights and minority communities in particular of Albanians, whose rights continue to overstep decades, despite three agreements signed with Belgrade (2001, 2009 and 2013);
Disrecognition of diplomas, political and institutional underrepresentation, administrative equipment and lack of economic perspective have become part of a systemic agenda aimed at disposing the Presevo Valley of Albanians;
Noting the complete lack of political will to proceed with legal initiatives and initiatives that would improve the position of Albanians in Serbia ? . . who have been trapped in parliamentary procedures for months now;
Trusting that Serbia's democratisation is not a simple matter of power changing, but requires sincere will for reform, respect for all citizens, and equal treatment for all communities; in fact, true democratisation can only happen when, along with the change of power, the final secession from imperialist politics of the dealt 90s occurs;
Under these circumstances, I will not participate in future works of Serbia's Parliament.
Albanian political representatives over the years have raised their voices to Parliament, speaking on behalf of European rights, equality and future, seeking respect for basic human rights norms and appealing to the European Union for implementing the 2001, 2009 and 2013 recently without success.
The truly pro-European society can be built only by ensuring equal conditions and dignified treatment for all, including Albanians. It cannot be built on myths of the past, nor on historical fiction nor on the ambition for hegemonymism in the Western Balkans.
For future political actions, you will be notified on time. We will all coordinate with our political allies and with all those who truly believe in pro-Western and democratic values.
