According to reports by local media, the person in question is Beatdown Latifi, 33-year-old from the village of Cerajaja in Mitrovica, who lived in exile and came for holidays.
The chief of police for the Northern Mitrovica region, Petrit Feyza, said his body has not yet been found.
“At the scene, all relevant teams have emerged and are looking for his body in the lake. Rescue search units are on the ground and are working on finding the body,” said Fyza.
Police and emergency teams are continuing the search operation, while the full circumstances of the event have not yet been disclosed.
