Israeli air strikes have killed at least 33 Palestinians in Gaza, health officials said Sunday, while the Israeli Army announced it has hit over 100 targets in the war-torn enclave.

The attacks occurred as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah was preparing to travel to Washington for talks at the White House, with the aim of pushing ahead for peace efforts, follows Periscope.

Meanwhile, an Israeli official said Israel's security cabinet approved Saturday evening sending aid to the northern part of Gaza, where civilians are suffering from a severe lack of food.
The official gave no more details and spoke on condition of anonymity.

United States President Donald Trump has proposed a plan for a 60-day initial ceasefire that would include the partial release of hostages held by Hamas in exchange for increased humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The proposed agreement also envisions talks on the full outcome of the 21-month war.

Hamas has been declared a terrorist organisation by the United States and other powers.

The Gaza war began when Hamas - led militants attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people and kidnapping 251 others, according to Israeli officials.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza says the Israeli war after 7 October has killed over 57,000 Palestinians.

Israel Strikes Dozens of Goals

According to the director of Schiffa Hospital, Mohammed Abu Selmia, 20 people were killed and another 25 were injured after Israel hit two houses in the city of Gaza.

In southern Gaza, 13 Palestinians were killed in attacks in the Muwasi area, a region near the Mediterranean where many displaced live in tents, according to officials from the Nasser Hospital in the nearby town of Han Yunis.

Five of those killed were members of the same family, according to the hospital.

The Israeli Army did not comment on the individual attacks, but said it has hit 130 targets throughout the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.

It stated that the targets included command structures and controllers of Hamas, weapons depots, rocket launchers, and that it killed several militants in northern Gaza.

Peace Accord Talks

The attacks occurred at a time when efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement seem to have gained momentum.

Prime Minister Netanyahu's office said the Israeli government would send a negotiating team to indirect talks in Qatar on Sunday, adding that Hamas is seeking changes to “unacceptable” in the proposal.

The planned talks in Qatar come shortly before Netanyah's scheduled visit to Washington on Monday, where he will meet with President Trump to discuss the deal.

It is not clear whether any agreement will be reached before the White House meeting.

Hamas has demanded guarantees that the initial ceasefire will lead to full end of the war and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza.

Previous negotiations have been blocked due to Hamas' demand for guarantees that the talks will lead to the end of the war, while Netanyah has insisted that Israel will resume fighting to achieve Hamas' complete disappearance. /REL/
