Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office says it is calling its cease-fire negotiators team in Doha of Qatar in Israel, the BBC reported, the Periscope broadcast.
In a statement, the prime minister's office says: “in light of Hamas' response this morning, it is set for the negotiating team to return to Israel for further consultations.
“We appreciate the efforts of Qatar and Egypt mediators and the efforts of envoy Witkoff to bring some progress to the talks. ”
Earlier this month, Palestinian officials told the BBC that negotiations between Israel and Hamas in Qatar on a new ceasefire in Gaza and the hostage release agreement were on the verge of collapse.
Somewhere else, US Middle East envoy Steve Whitoff is today in Italy to meet with senior Israeli and cat officials to discuss the possibility of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
