According to information, a powerful explosion was heard in the capital, after a threat flew over the area. There were no immediate reports to hurt, while estimated the attack was largely a warning.
The Israeli Army claimed responsibility, noting that it hit the headquarters of the Syrian Army's General Staff (in the area of the Ministry of Defence).
The Israeli Defence Forces recently attacked the entrance gate of the Syrian regime's headquarters in the area of Damascus of Syria”, the IDF said, as it published a video with officers monitoring and praising the situation in Syria.
Israeli Channel 14 reported that “an Israeli fighter plane launched an air strike outside the Syrian regime's central military base as a message to the legitimate government leading the country”.
Reuters, in turn, cited two Syrian security sources, under which a “Israeli attack targeted the Defence Ministry at Damascus”.
With this attack, Israel seeks to send a message to the army of the Syrian regime, which is acting against the trees in southern Syria. In addition, the IDF also reported new attacks in Sweida, southern Syria.
“Israeli Protection Forces continue to monitor developments and activities against wood civilians in southern Syria and, in accordance with political excellence guidelines, are attacking the area and are prepared for various scenarios”, the IDF explains.
Syrian forces were deployed in the Sweida area, claiming their goal was to suppress internal conflicts. However, the Israeli side reportedly considers their presence a threat to the woody community.
At the same time, information and videos that circulate on the internet suggest that trees from Israel are trying to cross the Syrian border and head towards Sweida, in order to support Syria's timbers that have been attacked by the Syrian regime's army in recent days. /Periscope/
