Pristina/Hajval, July 21st 2025
The Kosovo Police Inspectation Department (IPK) has published a regular inspection report in the field “reaction to citizens' calls and reporting police activities”.
The inspection has been conducted on the basis of the annual Order Inspection Plan for 2025, to assess whether stations are able to respond effectively and quickly, to citizens' calls regarding their concerns.
The objectives of this inspection have been: measuring and analyzing the time of police response in calls to citizens, assessing the process of reporting police activities, and assessing the documentation of police activities according to levels.
The findings of this inspection are of interest to the governing and operational levels of the Public Order Department police facilities, including police stations.
Statistical indicators on overall response times do not reflect changes compared to measurements made by IPK three years ago, with some changes to a number of regional stations and directors.
The average time of police response for this year to the country, which is 13.7 minutes, has resulted in similar measurements from 2022.
The report notes that from the level of regional directors, Regional Directorate Ferizaj, North Mitrovica and South Mitrovica have faster responses compared to other police directors.
The IPK under the report has provided four (4) recommendations related to the need to increase checks in radio communication offices to a number of stations in terms of improving the quality of operational Logut, organising quality Logut operational maintenance training, or producing an operational manual on the procedure and management of calls, analyzing responses to identifying factors affecting its duration, etc.
Regarding the outcome of the inspection, including the recommendations provided, all concerned may have access to the full inspection report, which is published on the IPK official page (see link as follows):
