This move comes after preliminary investigations into the tragic death of a detainee, who is suspected to have committed suicide within the detention chamber, where he was suspected of a case of domestic violence.
According to the IPK, there is reasonable doubt of possible neglect by police officials in fulfilling tasks, especially in ensuring the safety of the banned person.
Temporary suspension is a safeguard clause aimed at maintaining the integrity of the investigation and avoiding possible impact on the investigative process.
The police inspector, in co-ordination with the State Prosecutor, will continue with other investigative actions for the full lighting of the circumstances of this case, which is treated as a death investigation. /Periscope/
