Increase in Kosovo's number of fires, 101 fires in 6 hours

The latest report by the Agency for Emergency Management Operational Centre shows a disturbing increase in the country's firefronts. According to QO AME, fire and rescue units are on the ground and are working intensively to turn off fires in all affected locations. Unfortunately, during an intervention in Ferizaj, a fireman has suffered injuries and is receiving medical treatment.
“Communication between the Emergency Operations Centre (QOE-112), professional fire units and staff of the Agency for Emergency Management is continuing to be orderly and co-ordinated”.
“One of the most important interventions has been to the village of Zaselle in Mitrovica, where the KFOR helicopter” has been engaged for the extinguishing of the fire, it says.
The Agency for Emergency Management and Fire Department, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police, are on full alert and are reacting 24 hours a day to overcome the situation.
Under the critical situation, authorities make strong appeal to citizens to show maximum caution: “don't light fires in the external environments, and in case of a fire or emergency situation, to report immediately to numbers 112, 193, or 192”. /Periscope
