Ilir Tasholli withdraws candidacy for Lipjan chairmanship

Ilir Tasholli has announced his withdrawal from the candidacy for mayor of the Lipjan municipality, as well as all political functions within the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK).

Through a Facebook text, Tashloi said the decision was made for objective reasons and after deep reflection.

“for objective reasons, I have decided to halt my political activity within the AAK, to withdraw from the candidacy for the heads of the Lipjan municipality, as well as all the functions that I have been exercising so far”, he said.

Tasholli stressed that this has not been an easy decision but that he considers it necessary in this phase of his personal and professional journey.

This decision is made with the conviction that at this stage, such a step is best for my further journey,” he added.

He has thanked citizens, collaborators and friends for continued support over the years, underlining that commitment to the benefit of citizens does not end with this step.
