Kosovo National Institute of Public Health ( IKPSK has announced that 90 percent of the fires are man - made.
IKSK through a post on the social Facebook network has shown the most common causes are the burning of grass and waste, the throwing of hot cigarettes, the use of uncontrolled flames, the uncontrolled throwing of light-fires and deliberate fires or caused by human carelessness.
In this regard, this institute says that fires pose a threat to human health.
According to the announcement, fires increase air pollution (PM2.5), risk lungs and hearts, especially in children and the elderly, cause smoke poisoning and carbon monoxide.
IKPK also says that fires seriously damage the environment, such as damage to forests, agricultural land and wildlife, destruction of biodiversity, promotion of climate change
