Today, exactly 35 years have come to an end since the then Kosovo Assembly delegates adopted the July 2nd Constitutional Declaration.
On this historic day, Kosovo has been declared a special entity, within the then Yugoslav federation.
The declaration of July 2nd 1990 was the act that will mark the historic institutional step of Kosovo's independence, which was carried out outside the parliament's object, in conditions of siege by major police and military forces.
The Constitutional Declaration on Kosovo as independent and equal entities within the federation or Yugoslav confederation declared 111 Albanian delegates in the Kosovo Assembly in Pristina.
This statement also marks the starting point for Kosovo's independence from Serbia, aiming to be treated as equal to then-Yugoslav republics in the federation. /Periscopi/
