The institutional blockade currently under way in Kosovo has nothing to do with the election of the Speaker of the Parliament, nor with the secret vote. These are just external signs of a much deeper political crisis, which is escalating daily. All that is happening today is part of the strategy to drag time and avoid facing the real crisis

In essence, the crisis that shares the political spectrum in Kosovo today is this: Will Albin Kurti be prime minister for the next four years? For the opposition, the answer is clear: Not for Vetevendosje, yes.

Therefore, the real political crisis is not only a matter of procedures, but a political dilemma that requires an inevitable compromise. And the question is: Will this compromise occur now to prevent deepening the crisis, or later, when any solution will come as a result of the damage done?
