Hasani: Western Balkans Part of Europe's Strategic Root

In the presence of senior representatives from the region, Europe and the wider United States, Gulf, Brazil and Africa, Hasan stressed that in times of uncertainty and geopolitical rivalry, trust, transparency and transformation are not necessary.
“Albania is not a security consumer. It is contributing. We're not waiting for you. We're moving ahead of”.
The minister underlined that Albania has opened four negotiating groups including the core chapters and the domestic market and that the road to the EU is strategic, irreversible and based on sustainable reforms.
According to ABCNews.al, he warned that delays in the enlargement process create gaps used by authoritarian actors, welcoming the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans as a concrete opportunity to accelerate integration.
“Europe will not be complete without the Western Balkans. And the Western Balkans will not be complete without a decent country in the European family”, Hasani has said. /Periscope/
