The event, which was originally hailed as a humanitarian intervention, was soon politicised after several Vetvendosje Movement officials and activists presented the operation as the first “KSF intervention in northern Kosovo”.

According to her, the KSF mission was authorised by KFOR only for humanitarian purposes, and any interpretation otherwise is deceptive and dangerous to public faith.
Even France, through its ambassador to Pristina, Olivier Guerot, reacted by stressing the importance of KFOR's role and the need for this contribution to be respected by all actors in Kosovo and the region, Klankosova broadcasts.tv.

In the debate held Tuesday night on the “show Rubikon” in Klan Kosova, opinionist Avni Arifi said that using KSF for propagandistic purposes deeply harms the state and institutions.

In the same show, former KSF Commander Nundman Rama criticised the politicisation of the operation, stressing that this approach harms army members and undermines its mission.
