Grasping about 3,000 cannabis plants in Shkodra

During a series of co-ordinated checks in the Shkodra district, police have found and destroyed 2943 suspected plants such as Cannabis Sivra, cultivated in several different areas of the region.
This is part of the operation codenamed “Coordinatenata”, aimed at hitting cases of cannabis cultivation and preventing its illegal use.
The controlled and sequential areas of plants are Pult and Shosh 735 suspected plants, Kastrat and Gruem 1631 suspected plants, Temal and Shllak 139 suspected plants, Luf-Kerret and Genoi 438 suspected plants.
For these cases, two workers of forest sectors and protected areas have been prosecuted for abuse of office. The followed persons are V. P., forest guard and A. K., guards of protected areas.
Shkodra police, with support from other regional commissioners, have intensified raids and investigations to identify and prevent the authors of cannabis cultivation.
