In an official response to RTV21, the embassy estimates that this situation is contrary to the will of citizens expressed in the election.
The failure to establish the Assembly is causing the will of Kosovo's citizens to not be implemented now for nearly six months. This is first of all injustice to Kosovo's citizens and businesses, as important decisions are not being made and implementation is unnecessaryly delayed,” said in the statement.
The German Embassy expresses concern that Kosovo is losing step with other countries in the region in the process of European integrations, particularly in implementing the EU's growth plan and benefiting from the respective funds.
Kosovo, in a sense, is losing the train. As other countries in the region continue with the EU's growth plan and are taking steps to allocate funds, Kosovo is in immediate danger of lagging behind”.
The embassy also stresses that now that the EU has formed a new composition with representatives from countries that recognise Kosovo, including the Enlargement Commissioner and the High Representative for Foreign Policy, Kosovo is losing this moment because of the domestic political blockade.
Kosovo has been waiting long for a new Commissioner for Enlargement, a High Representative and a Special Representative for Dialogue ) all from countries that recognise Kosovo. Now that this dream team is in charge of the EU, Kosovo continues to be politically paralyzed. ”
According to the Embassy, every day passing through this situation brings harm to the country, both politically and economically, and reduces Kosovo's weight in the international arena.
Kosovo cannot afford to continue this situation for another six months. It's already lost a lot of time and energy. The best solution would be for elected MPs and political leaders to finally join the spirit of compromise and find a way forward, putting the interest of the state and citizens above everything.”, the embassy's response said. /Periscope
