The incumbent prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted the European Union Office Chief in Kosovo today, Ambassador Aivo Ora.
The European integration process and co-operation between Kosovo and the EU were the subject of the conversation. Kurti stressed the government's full commitment on the path towards integration into the European Union and commitment to implementing reforms.
In terms of currentity in the country and the interest of Ambassador Orav, Kurti stressed the importance of completing steps for the constitutionalisation of the Parliament, as a must for the formation of new institutions after the February 9th elections, and continuing legislative work, where there are also key international agreements for Kosovo's European integration, such as the one regarding the Development Plan.
The following was discussed and the importance of regional co-operation and the EU's role as the continuation of the Western Balkan Leaders' meeting on the European Union's Growth Plan in Skopje last week.
The topic of the conversation was also the security situation, where the incumbent praised the work and engagement of our security institutions in dealing with threats coming from non-friendly states. /Periscopi/
