German Embassy in Kosovo: Political situation, blockade in Parliament are hampering key legislative proposals

The German Embassy has said that the political situation in the country, including the blockade in Parliament, is hampering the advancement of legislative proposals that are essential for progress.

This statement, the embassy did it on the issue of carrying arms after the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched today's awareness campaign against festive shootings.

Kosovo has made considerable progress in addressing the issue of small and light arms. We express our sincere appreciation for the Kosovo Police for their continued dedication and work in this area. However, the current political situation, including the parliamentary blockade, is hampering the advance of important legislative proposals that are essential for further progress”.

The German Embassy said the newly launched awareness campaign is a valid initiative aimed at promoting understanding and risks of reckless use of firearms within the community.
