Fires include several Istog villages, mayor calls for caution and mobilization

Through a Facebook post, the first of the municipality said that along with the fire crews, the Kosovo Police and responsible institutions, it says they are working to locate and wipe out the shelters, in order to prevent the spread of the flames and protect properties, agricultural lands and residents.

I prefer every citizen of Istog to show maximum care, especially in agricultural and forest areas and not burn grass, waste or other items, as even a small spark can cause great and irreversible damage”, he points out in the announcement.

The mayor has also demanded that any case suspected of fire or smoke be immediately reported to firefighters or police.

In the end, he has thanked firefighters, police and citizens who are contributing to managing the situation. /Periscope/
